Position: Laboratory Supervisor Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our laboratory. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of laboratory procedures, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in research and analysis. Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily activities within the laboratory, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to protocols and safety standards. Manage a team of laboratory technicians and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Oversee equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting, ensuring that all instruments are in optimal working condition. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline processes and maintain consistency in operations. Monitor inventory levels of supplies and reagents, and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained. Collaborate with researchers, scientists, and other departments to support ongoing projects and facilitate laboratory needs. Maintain records, documentation, and reports in compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies. Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry) or equivalent work experience. Proven experience (X years) working in a laboratory setting, with at least X years in a supervisory or managerial role. In-depth knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and instrumentation. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Proficiency in following and enforcing safety protocols and regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA, FDA, ISO standards). Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Certification/Licensure Requirements : FL State Supervisor License
