Job Description:
Employment as a Tow Truck Driver/Operator requires you to use a Tow Truck Vehicle & Equipment to transport vehicles from one location to another location (generally a repair garage), or to recover vehicles which are no longer on a driveable surface without causing damages to the vehicles. Our towing services are generally provided through a roadside assistance motor club. Vehicles are often towed in the case of breakdowns or collisions, or may be impounded for legal reasons.
In addition to transporting vehicles, our tow truck drivers must maintain constant correspondence with the dispatchers and keep them updated with each job's progress, as well as keeping members who are waiting updated on the estimated time of arrivals. Must also be able to proficiently fill out daily logs and turn it in by the end of each shift. Must always possess a smartphone with service in order to contact the members who are waiting and utilize our dispatch app that you will receive our digital dispatches through and digitally upload photos and required information to for every tow service.
Responsibilities and Duties
Check tow truck & equipment and report any need of repair or replacement
Safely maintain and operate tow truck & equipment assuring good operating condition of all company owned vehicles & equipment
Must always possess a smart phone with service capable of running our dispatch app
Correspond with dispatchers and respond to service calls in a timely, efficient, and safe manner
Provide excellent customer service to all roadside assistance members and always maintain a professional appearance
Inform dispatchers of unusual traffic or road conditions
Communicate unsafe or possible damaging situations to dispatchers in order to help prevents accidents and damages to vehicles
Immediately report accidents, injuries, traffic citations or warnings, and medical and mechanical problems to dispatchers
Maintain daily log of all service calls completed
Load and unload vehicles safely and free of damage
Qualifications and Skills
Must have a valid driver's license
Must have a clean driving record
Must be able to pass both a criminal background check and a drug test (No felony convictions or DUI/DWI convictions within the past 5 years)
Must always have smart phone with service capable of downloading and running our dispatch app
Minimum of (1) year experience with another towing company as a tow truck driver/operator (Training is NOT offered at this time)
Ability to maintain a professional attitude and appearance
Posses active listening and problem solving skills
Utilize basic organization and math skills
Flexible to work weekends (OFF Sundays 1 Week Day), holidays, and overtime due to business demands.
Resumes must include a minimum of (1) valid reference to a previous tow truck company in which you were employed for a minimum of (1) year as a tow truck driver/operator in order to qualify. (Unfortunately, we DO NOT offer training at this time.)

Loading & Unloading Disabled Vehicles: 2 years (Required)
