Job Summary:
Dabos Inc. is seeking a dedicated e-Commerce Bookkeeper – Accounting Clerk/Assistant to support our accounting department. This position involves maintaining accurate records of transactions, assisting with accounts payable, and performing various clerical duties. The ideal candidate is a team player with a positive attitude, possesses the ability to work independently, and is detail-oriented, adaptable to a startup environment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
· Maintain records of every transaction to ensure accurate financial reporting.
· Perform routine/basic accounting responsibilities, including daily general ledger postings and journal entries.
· Assist with month-end closing procedures and the analysis and preparation of financial data.
· Monitor daily cash activity and ensure accurate financial tracking.
· Reconcile credit card statements and assist with financial audits and account reconciliations.
· Assist with accounts payable, including processing invoices and payments.
· Communicate effectively with vendors regarding inquiries and issues; make phone calls as needed.
· Support the accounting department with document scanning and organization.
· Run errands as needed, such as going to the post office.
· Work closely with the purchasing department to maintain accurate records and coordination.
· Adapt to changes in a startup environment and take on additional tasks as needed.
· Perform additional duties as assigned.
· Collaborate as a team player with a positive and easy-going attitude.
Required Background, Competencies & Expertise:
· Exposure to accounting or bookkeeping practices is preferred.
· Extremely detail-oriented and organized.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Decent proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
· Strong communication skills for vendor interactions.
· Ability to adapt to a dynamic startup environment.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Environment:
· Most work is performed in an office setting.
· Incumbent may sit for long periods at a desk or computer terminal.
· Use of office equipment such as calculators, keyboards, telephones, and computers.
· Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
· Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required during the completion of job duties.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
