Quality Engineer-CO-OP Part-time-On-stie Colorado Springs, Co
We are looking for a quality engineer co-op that is a motivated, strong problem solver, dedicated to completing assigned job tasks on time, interested in learning quality system improvements, able to communicate effectively to cross functional teams and upper management, and will represent Schlage Lock Company in a professional manner.
What You Will Do
- Deepen your understanding of production and quality process to support manufacturing.
- Participate in manufacturing security devices.
- Work with a team to identify root cause and facilitate corrective actions for both day-to-day production issues as well as major production disruptions.
- Obtain the experience to create a foundation for growth and future opportunities with Allegion.
- Exposure to Lean Problem solving, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns using statistical tools.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Rapid Improvement Events, Six Sigma, lean methodology, etc.
- Assist in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system.
- Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, PPAPs, etc.
- Assist in developing and maintaining manufacturing audit strategies for processes, products and systems.
- Assist in determining inspection and test equipment required to evaluate product quality and reliability.
- Other duties as required.

- The expected Base Hourly Range: $18-$23 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
