Instructional Designer

We are currently looking for an Instructional Designer (contract to hire) to work as a member of a highly creative, highly collaborative, and fast-paced e-learning design and development team. Position provides instructional direction and leadership in concept development to team members, works with clients to analyze needs, audience, task, learning environment and to develop learning objectives and requirements. Developing course outlines and instructional treatments documentation, developing assessment strategies, maintaining instructional design direction and development through all phases of a project are just part of the responsibilities of an Instructional Designer. 

Candidates will have 4+ years of instructional design experience/client experience.  They will possess the ability to approach complicated problems with strategy, intelligence, insight, creativity, and wit and have experience with rapid-prototyping and iterative design processes and design of web-based projects and interactive learning applications. Requires a BS in instructional design, psychology, marketing, communications, education or a related field. 

Bonus qualities (We don’t expect anyone to have all of these, but it’d be good if you had a few) include a Masters in Instructional Design / Instructional Technology, Classroom, study guides, and other printed materials instructional design experience, ability to work to design solutions within budget constraints, knowledge of e-learning authoring tools, Media / Graphic Design skills, LMS / LCMS experience on projects and public speaking or teaching experience.
