The lead person performs machine set ups, routine maintenance on the machines, inspections, and part transfers to and from warehouse. This individual would also be required to operate the machines and run daily production work scheduled by the IVC supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate various machinery: drill presses and grommet machine
  • Basic blueprint reading
  • Detailed Inspection of parts and products
  • Perform assembly functions using hand tools, battery/pneumatic hand tools
  • Communication with Warehouse/QA departments
  • Accountable for inventory in department
  • Maintain accurate records using department databases
  • Keeping track of supplies in the shop
  • Clean and organize work areas
  • Promote a safe and clean working environment

Skills/Requirements

  • High School/GED
  • 1 years assembly experience
  • Ability to read various measurement devices (height gage, calipers, tape measure, etc.)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to read and understand drawings
  • Ability to work as individually and as a team to complete all assignments and meet all deadlines
  • Willing to adapt to fast paced environment with changing priorities
  • Basic Experience with Computers (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Machine setup experience preferred
  • Able to utilize and read various measuring devices
  • Ability to bend and crouch
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods throughout the day
