The Lincolnton, NC manufacturer is located approximately 40 miles from Charlotte, NC. This facility employs nearly 300 full time associates in both 1st and 2nd shift operations, which encompasses 219,000 sq. ft. ISO certified, our associates engage in Lean Manufacturing and 5S. Summary: Compile and maintain records of quantity, type and value of materials, equipment, merchandise or supplies stocked in the warehouse or on production lines.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Count material, equipment, merchandise or supplies in stock and post totals to inventory records
- Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as sales orders, productions records or purchase inventory
- Verifies electronic totals against physical count of stock and submits adjustment requests
- Investigates reasons for total discrepancies
- Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise or supplies and computes inventory balance
- Prepares reports such as inventory balance, price lists and shortages
- Prepares list of depleted items
- Must be able to pass along information in one-on-one or group settings
- Basic math skills, add, subtract, multiply, divide
Education and Experience:
- 1 year of job experience performing cycle counts
- 1 year certificate from community college or technical school
- OR a combination of both education and job experience
- Knowledge of Inventory Software (Epicor preferred) and Manufacturing Software (Epicor preferred)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Physical Demands:
- The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers/arms, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, balance or crawl
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision
- While performing this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and high places (use of lifts)
