Job Posting for Superintendent at Alliance Water Resources

This is administrative, supervisory, and technical work directing the work of staff members engaged in a variety of activities related to water/wastewater systems, public works functions, and customer service. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Local Manager.
Graduation from high school and five years of progressively responsible experience in the maintenance and repair of water distribution systems, including three years of supervisory experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Knowledge of proper and effective practices, methods, and procedures related to water plants, wells, distribution system maintenance, and construction.
  • Knowledge of state and federal standards and regulations governing water plants and systems.
  • Knowledge of basic principles of mechanical and hydraulic theory.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and precautions pertaining to the use and operation of motorized equipment and hand/power tools.
