Responsibilities
o Responsible for the overall direction of the office
o Serve as the primary liaison to the Managing Director
o Identify staffing needs and training opportunities
o Provide weekly updates on projected office revenue and utilization
o Conduct performance reviews
o Employ strategic approaches for identifying target clients
o Leverage and develop relationships to build long-term business partnerships in key industrial sectors
o Maintain effective relationships with regulatory personnel in multiple jurisdictions
o Participate in key stakeholder forums and industry groups
o Provide technical leadership on complex regulatory issues
o Provide leadership to project teams to ensure timely, exceptional project deliverables
o Supervise Project Managers to ensure quality work products are delivered to client contacts
o Responsible for client communication and deliverables that may include the following:
- Preparation of state and federal (Title V) permit applications and other miscellaneous permitting action applications
- Preparation of Greenhouse Gas, Emission Inventory and Toxic Release Inventory reports
- Development of miscellaneous air emission calculations
- Preparation of regulatory applicability analyses of state and federal regulations
- Any on-site assistance to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance, including any onsite audits
o Responsible for growth of client relationships
o Development of proposals and miscellaneous project reports
o Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
o Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, and/or Civil Engineering, from an accredited four-year college or university or foreign equivalent
o At least 7 years of Environmental Consulting experience
o At least 2 years of supervisory experience
o Must have computer literacy, including basic programming
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word) or related software
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
o Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
o Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
o Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors
o Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
