We are filling a Technical Services Reporting Manager position in one of our three locations in California (Bakersfield, Cypress, and Camarillo). JOB OVERVIEW:
The Technical Services Reporting Manager works within the Technical Services organization. The primary duties of the Reporting Manager include oversight of the technical documents (proposals, test plans and reports) for a given set of offices. The Reporting Manager ensures that data flows through the AST system and the final accurate documents are provided to the customers within the Alliance Advantage commitments. Reporting Managers have a higher level of institutional, customer and regulatory knowledge.
RESPONSIBILITIE AND DUTIES:
- Manage the workflow for proposal, test plans and reports within their assigned offices
- Ensuring that the documents are provided to customers within our Alliance Advantage due dates for their assigned offices
- Responsible out writers for specific documents within their assigned offices and managing personnel data (PTO, performance reviews, disciplinary action, etc.)
- Work with Project Managers, Analytical Services, and Operations Managers to ensure that proposal, test plan and reports are written accurately and represent the project
- Coordinate with multiple personnel within field and technical services on projects
- Work with clients to ensure scope of work for projects is accurate for proposals and test plans
- Work with Operations Managers, Analytical Services and Regional Managers on review of draft reports
- Assist in the professional development of direct reports
- Work within Technical Services to improve technical and institutional knowledge of the writing staff
- Maintain current templates for reports, test plans and proposals
- Update test plan and report methodologies as needed
- Serve as a technical resource for state and federal testing and reporting requirements.
- Problem solving skills. Ability to address, manage and communicate internally on reporting issues. Assist in resolution of issues.
- Ability to communicate internal and externally (Client & Regulators) to address issues with test plans and reports.
- Ability to communicate comments and/or issues with draft reports, test plans and proposals to Technical Services Writers
- Attention to detail
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma required. AS or BS degree preferred (Science and Engineering related fields ideal)
- Computer skills. Proficient skill level of Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook.
- Working knowledge of 40CFR60 App. A Standard Source Testing Methods
- Working knowledge of 40CFR60 App. B Performance Specifications and 40 CFR 75, Appendices A & B
- Professional appearance and behavior
- Good verbal communication skills (Internally and with Clients and Regulators)
- Excellent organizational skills.
- 10 years of experience as a Technical Services Writer and/or in Field Services.
