Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN), under the supervision of the Practice Manager and Physicians, is responsible for assisting in the delivery of healthcare and patient care management.
Essential Responsibilities:
Restores and promotes patient’s health by completing the nursing process.- Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
- Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and their families.
- Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and hospital or regulatory standards.
- Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols; medication administration and storage procedures; and controlled substance regulations.
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies.
- Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team problem-solving methods.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Renews all licenses and certifications and submits copies of such to Practice Administrator, Director and Human Resources.
- Abides by the policies, procedures, guidelines, rules, testing, security administration and confidentiality of the Patients and Practice under the guidelines of OSHA and HIPAA Laws safeguards.
- Performs other duties as required
Essential Skills:
Works well with both the medical staff and patient to ensure a safe, quality experience for all patients.- Knowledge of pertinent medical and drug information necessary to examine and treat gastroenterological patients.
- Knowledge of gastroenterological conditions, treatments and standard of care pertaining to those conditions/medications/testing, etc.
- Comfortable multi-tasking with a sharp attention to detail
- Can perform duties accurately in a timely and efficient manner.
- Can demonstrate exemplary patient service skills and display courteousness and respect.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to remain cordial throughout the work day as well as to maintain patience under occasional stressful situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer skills: Electronic medical records, MS Office
- Demonstrates strong time management skills and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA Laws and safeguards and be able to follow these guidelines at all times
Education and Experience Required:
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of NJ
- Two (2) years’ experience as a registered nurse.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional surgical environment in a medical office or hospital and can expose CRNA to infections, communicable diseases and hazardous substances and materials.
This role may uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines as well as medical equipment.
Dress attire required: As Determined by Care Center
Days/Hours: Days and hours to be determined by Care Center.
