Security Concierge Needed at BNY Mellon
Ross Street, Pittsburgh
$20.50/Hour
8AM-4PM
Monday-Friday
Security Concierge- Looking for more of a high end hotels style greeter ,Very Strong customer service skills, very strong computer skills/communication skills( answering phone/send emails to high level clients), Will be handling the visitor email inbox, helping/working with BNY Mellon event coordinators with events . Standing out in front of the security desk up to 8 hrs day greeting visits and clients coming into the building. Providing escorts to floors and to meetings. Help look over the security desk to ensure the officers are following all BNY Mellon signing protocols . Work special events details, pre-register guests in Ccure-9000 and have guest badges and ID’s ready to go for high-end clients coming from other sites.
Job responsibilities for these workers vary widely from one employment setting to another. However, in general, they are expected to provide personal services to consumers/guests served by their employers. Those services may include:• Answer phone an email inquiries from potential guests in a timely and respectful manner• Manage guest/customer complaints• Perform basic administrative/secretarial/reception duties• Greet guests and visitors warmly and make them feel welcome and attended• Receive and redirect mail, phone calls, packages, etc• Ensure that guest spaces and lobby are clean and tidy at all times• Act as a liaison between guests and any department necessary including the Building management corporate security and event staff etc• Anticipate guests needs in order to accommodate them and provide an exceptional guest experience• Maintain inventory of supplies and order new stock as needed• Preregistering guests in the visitor management system.• Escorting clients to floor/meetings• Working with event staff • Develop network of contacts, service providers and businesses within their communities to serve guests• Supervisor security officers to make sure company guest policies are followed
Qualifications for Concierge• 1 years of previous customer service experience• Positive phone demeanor and superior written and verbal communication skills are essential• Must have a service oriented mindset and be capable of making every guest feel valued• Knowledge of basic office equipment, including printers, scanners, copiers, etc• Exemplify strong organizational skills and attention to detail• Competent working with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Outlook and Excel• Possess a positive attitude and be willing to work as part of a team• Willing to work irregular shifts and weekends
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 18 years of age
- Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
- Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting;
- Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Driving Positions: must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
- As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test, may be required to pass Drivers Record check
- Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
- Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently

- Able to:
- Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
