Position overview*
As a Reactor Operator at allnex, you will be part of our manufacturing teams who are safely producing our products in an environmentally responsible manner. You will join us in one of our control rooms and will be driving our production process through the use of our automated distribution control system (DCS). This includes but is not limited to charging raw materials to reactors remotely, monitoring key parameters of the chemical process like temperature and pressure, or giving instructions to field operators. Responsibilities
In your team, you will be responsible for
- The safe operation of the unit, compliance with health requirements and protection of the environment
- Ensuring production of material meets strict Quality standards
- Working together with Production Operators to manage the daily running of the production lines
- Charging and moving chemical products through the plant using the DCS
- Preventative measures to assure operating efficiency and equipment integrity
- Monitoring operations, recording data, and filling out work instructions
- Ensuring conformance to quality standards
Required skills and experience
We are looking for candidates who bring excellent communication skills to
- Give instructions to our field operators (eg for sampling)
- Work with the supervisor to address issues
- Report production incidents & emergencies
- Assist in training our junior operators
- Work with team members and ensure team objectives are met
- Ensure efficient and accurate information transfer between different shifts
Further, we value candidates who

- Can maintain good housekeeping practices
- Have an excellent attendance record
Qualifications
- Chemical operator experience in manufacturing plant preferred OR degree in chemistry or relevant other scientific area
- Basic computer skills
- Prior experience running a controls system
- Ability to make entries in automated systems
- Basic safety awareness
- Basic chemical process knowledge
- Basic understanding of mathematics
Physical requirements
- Long periods of standing
- Walking and sitting
- Ability to wear certified safety equipment as required
- Lifting capability of up to 40 pounds/20kg
- Climbing ladders
