Equity Research Analyst

The Allspring Focused Global Equity team is looking for an equity research analyst to join its team. The team manages over $3 billion in Global assets, and is based in New York City and Nassau, Bahamas. Every analyst on the team operates as a sector generalist.

• Minimum of two years' experience working in accounting or finance industries.
• An academic background in accounting, finance, or economics.
• The person should be interested in and passionate about global equity markets, with a strong intellectual curiosity and ability to look for and evaluate non-consensus ideas.
• Ability to multi-task, handle heavy workloads, and achieve project deadlines accountably, while working efficiently and effectively with all team members.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to participate in group discussions; prior presentation experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong financial modelling, accounting, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Advanced level of proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, write/modify vba scripts). Aptitude to create complex, yet understandable financial models for use by senior analysts.
• Gather and analyze data from a variety of sources, including but not limited to, company documents, regulatory filings, industry publications, trade shows, and online data services.
• Ability to comprehend and create charts, diagrams, tables, and other data visualizations.
• Applicants with an accounting background preferred but NOT required, i.e. CPA, ACCA qualification.
• Progress toward a CFA certification preferred but NOT required
