Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager contractor to consult on process improvement implementations including CMMI®. The successful candidate will leverage interpersonal skills, project and risk management fundamentals, and organizational change management to successfully lead efforts.
Responsibilities and Duties

- Perform CMMI® gap analysis using a PIID.
- Create a project plan that includes project kickoff, project org chart, communication strategy, timeline, and organizational change management to remediate the findings of the gap analysis.
- Produce and manage the project schedule in concert with the appraisal activity of the CMMI® Lead Appraiser.
- Manage the formation and function of customer process improvement teams.
- Support training development and delivery.
- Monitor the technical, cost and schedule performance of the project.
- Coordinate with cross discipline team members to make sure all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are being met.
- Monitor project activities to ensure requirements are consistently achieved.
- Use cost and risk assessment tools and procedures to assess project health.
- Troubleshoot issues associated with projects.
- Perform activities associated maintaining customer CMMI® instances in the years prior to reappraisal.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required in technical or business management related field.
- Well versed with the CMMI® V2.0 model
- PMP Certification.
- 8 years of Project Management experience with CMMI®, process improvement, Lean Six Sigma, engineering processes, and ISO projects.
- Understanding of CMMI® for Services and Development.
- Familiar with the ADKAR® Change Management Model.
- Familiar with using a CMMI® PIID.
- High level of emotional intelligence to quickly acclimate to the customer’s team environment
- Ability to utilize Project Management disciplines to estimate, coordinate and deliver committed project deliverables.
- MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
