The Opportunity
This role manages processing and monitoring functions related to ACH payments and various other forms of electronic payments. The manager ensures that ACH processing and monitoring is completed within is completed within appropriate timeframes and in accordance with regulatory requirements. The team works closely with Bank Accounting, Loss Prevention, and multiple Money Movement teams to ensure these goals. The role manages the daily activities of ACH/Real-time Payments team to ensure the achievement of the corporate goals for growth, retention and quality service for the department and organization.

- Monitor, maintain and enhance the activities of the team and staff therein
- Ensures that current and prospective customers’ needs are being met, and corporate objectives are being achieved consistently and efficiently
- Ensures effective deployment of resources in a fast-paced, high volume, ever-changing environment
- Responds to customer, coworkers, and vendor issues in a highly professional and effective manner
- Maintains service delivery standards, staff priority scheduling and plan accordingly for peak volumes
- Evaluates the quality of the team’s performance through output and audit reviews
- Implements new processes as the need arises; changes in - service standards, new products or services, regulations, and system configurations
- Review and evaluate policies and procedures routinely; ensuring they are accurate, up to date, and if there are any opportunities for improvement or automation
- Provides management reporting and communicates workflow conditions to other areas of the company
- Develops and presents periodic statistical and status reports to management; prepares quantitative and qualitative reports, which track marketplace information
- Informs appropriate individuals or groups, updates management and others as necessary
- Establish job descriptions relative to the staff need for the Department
- Review all customer communications sent by the team to keep them relevant and in compliance with Ally and industry standards
- Recommends enhancements to support Corporate and Division objectives
- Interact with Customer Call Center and Ally Bank customers as needed
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree (Finance and/or Accounting Preferred) w/ 3 years of electronic banking experience required OR
- 5 years of electronic banking and/or related banking experience required
- Nacha certification preferred – AAP or APRP
- Working knowledge of Federal Reserve Bank FedLine Web experience required
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with Nacha Operating Rules highly recommended
- Comprehensive and current knowledge of banking concepts (including the legislative and regulatory environments) highly preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of ACH processing, risk management, and fraud prevention strategies preferred
- Management experience preferred but not required
- Experience analyzing multiple streams of data to assess results, draw conclusions, identify opportunities, and take actions
