Assistant Director of Nursing (DON) Quick Look:

As Assistant Director of Nursing, you will initially report to the Director of Nursing and you will be responsible for structuring, coordinating, and supervising Ally Home Care clinical operations to ensure the highest standards of quality and adherence to accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that patient care is coordinated and managed properly and ensuring quality outcomes for clients
- Assuming responsibility for patient admission, developing the patient’s plan of care, quarterly supervisory visits, annual and change of status re-certification assessments, and discharges
- Supervising delivery of care by home health aides and other Ally Home Care caregivers
- Ensuring qualified employees are hired and trained during orientation, and appropriate documentation maintained
- Develop, implement, and maintain clinical compliance strategies
- Communicate and enforce policies and procedures
- Create and audit client admissions and other ongoing clinical documentation
- Providing continued oversight and training of Ally Home Care caregivers for appraisals on personnel upon completion of probation, annually, and on an as-needed basis
- Ensuring proper documentation for client flies and employee files so the agency remains in compliance
- Maintaining and ensuring staff are familiar with Agency rules, policies, and procedures to ensure the Company complies with all relevant federal, state, and local laws
- Performing tasks as-needed to ensure successful operations of the Company as nurse manager
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina
- Experience in home health management (preferred)
- Possess independent problem-solving skills as well as the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Emotional maturity and stability
- Ability to maintain a judgment-free team
- Comfortable with accountability and integrity
- Experience with administrative writing, research, and reporting
- Basic math and data entry skills
- Organizational and process design skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access, email, web-based client software, and Mac OS X
