What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barback position at Alpana?
Alpana is looking for an experienced partime Barback to work Friday and Saturday evenings. Shift starts at 3 pm and ends before 11 pm. Opportunity to pickup additional shifts as support staff also a possibility for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate must be detail oriented and have experience with interacting with customers and taking food and drink orders. Working knoweldge of various spirits and liquors is highly recommended. You don't need to know how to make cocktails but we can teach you how. Excellent opporutnity to learn how to bartend from an experineced team.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
● Sets up bar before and breaks down after service.
● Works with a sense of urgency to anticipate customer needs and other team members.
● Assist bartender with taking food and drink orders at the bar. Must be able to describe dishes to guests and note any food allergies and dietary restrictions.
● Maintains cleanliness of stations with necessary equipment including stocking and polishing glassware.
● Responsible for keeping the back of the bar clean and organized.
● Communicates with management, and all other service staff regarding all customer needs comments or incidents.
● Cleans all spills immediately and notifies other staff members about potential hazards.
● Follow all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division and Health Department following all health and safety regulations.
● Performs all opening and closing duties as assigned
