Maintenance Supervisor

Located in Lakewood, NJ, we are Alpha Engineered Composites, LLC, a global leader in Textile and Rubber Coatings and Laminates. We conduct business in North America, China, Europe, Japan, etc. Our organization is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor. This position reports to the Vice President/General Manager. Maintenance Supervisor

This position is responsible for the planning, organizing, and controlling the overall management of the facility maintenance activities on a daily basis with responsibility for results in terms of safety, costs, productivity, equipment downtime, project management, and direct employees. This person develops and administers schedules and performance requirements for the maintenance staff to drive continuous improvement, sustainable organizational growth, and acts as a mentor to direct reports to help meet schedules and resolve technical problems. This includes long term planning and scheduling of maintenance activities including repairs, improvements, and preventative maintenance on boilers, air compressors, coating towers, laminating lines, calenders, rotocures, slitters, and presses.

The individual will direct work on all daily and long term maintenance activities including prioritization of work activities, preventative maintenance scheduling, and long term capital projects. The individual must possess the ability to create an environment that empowers employees to drive change and improve systems. This role is responsible for ensuring standard operating procedures and protocols are adhered to, while ensuring that the group remains in compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Works closely with the General Manager, Production Managers, Engineering and others in the Maintenance department to establish and achieve specified goals and objectives

· Drives use of maintenance management system in Epicor (CMMS)

· Supervises mechanical and electrical maintenance crafts and outside contractors who perform maintenance services and/or repairs in the plant to ensure overall safety and quality of work performed

· Assists with planning and support for projects, shutdowns, etc

· Assists engineering group with projects and technical solutions

· Maintains high safety standards

· Works with production and others in scheduling and work execution

· Troubleshoots equipment and implements new methods and materials to reduce failure frequency

· Recognizes the successful efforts of employees to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve work processes

· Manages overall compliance requirements for the group including change management and OSHA regulations

· Represents the department in interactions with cross-functional teams

Minimum requirements:

· High school diploma or GED

· 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience

· 3 years of maintenance supervisory experience

· Knowledge and experience of how to specify, troubleshoot, install, and maintain plant mechanical and electrical equipment

· Experience with CMMS system such as Epicor, SAP, etc

· Must have a valid NJ driver’s license

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Maintenance: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
