**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing companionship and support to an individual with mild intelectual disability. Your primary responsibilities will be to assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and create a nurturing environment that fosters growth and development.
**Duties**
- Provide direct care and support to individual, including assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
- Accompany to medical appointments and shopping
- Develop and implement personalized care plans that promote independence, safety, and overall well-being.
- Monitor and document individuals' progress and ensuring that their needs are being met and that any concerns are addressed.
- Assist with medication administration and management, as necessary.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by performing light and heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling tasks.
- Support individuals in participating in recreational activities, social events, and community programs.
- Provide hospice care, as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that individuals receive the medical care they need.
- Demonstrate empathy and understanding when working with individual.
- Promote and advocate for the rights and dignity of individual
**Requirements**
- Experience working with individuals with mild intelectual disabilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Commitment to creating a nurturing and supportive environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Availability to work 12 N to 4 PM

Pay: $19.82 - $20.50 per hour
