Job Title: UX Researcher /Analyst
Work Location: Remote / Washington DC Metropolitan Area
Clearance Required: Secret (active or Inactive)

We are currently seeking an experienced UX Analyst to join our design team and help our federal customer to enhance its customer engagement efforts across the world. We are building a federal design team to enrich digital experience and deliver better services to US Citizens. If you are a compelling storyteller and UX professional who would like to make difference in the way government services are delivered, we would like to provide you that opportunity.

This position requires candidate who is local to the Washington DC metropolitan area since the 25% of the work will be performed within federal offices located in Washington DC.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with federal customer teams to create intuitive and engaging customer experiences across multiple projects.
• Understand “Why” of customer needs through techniques such as interviews, prototype, benchmarking, surveys, and design workshops
• Work with UI designers to develop a unified theme for multiple websites and projects using USWDS as a foundation.
• Collaborate with content design team to refactor and migrate content onto the new user experience and test for its effectiveness
• Implement strategies to deliver iterative progress using agile methodology
• Advocate for the customer through human-centered research methods
• Adopt and implement standards and best practices
• Prioritize of user research & analysis as a basis for making design centered product enhancements
• Incorporate best practices for internationalization and collaborate with federal internationalization and localization teams to deliver consistent user experienced in multiple languages
• Analyze, articulate and present findings, solutions and recommendations to federal stakeholders in clear and simple manner
• Experience with collaborative design tools such as InVision, Figma, Sketch or other design tools
• Synthesize user research to help UI team develop reusable components, workflows, and repeatable strategies

Required Skills:

• At least 5 years of experience with UI, graphics design, or digital product design
• At least 2 years of experience with user, product, or market research
• Bachelor Degree in social sciences, computer science, or relevant field
• OR Relevant certification in User experience, UI/UX or Human centered Design
• Experience working in Agile teams using UI/UX products
• Must have knowledge of multiple user research techniques and responsive web design
• Excellent communication skills to provide clear, articulate rationale for UI/UX choices and approach
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Federal experience is a plus
