POSITION TITLE : Kitchen Staff
DEPARTMENT : Casa Raphael
FLSA : Full-time, Non-Exempt

PAY RANGE : $19 / hour, commensurate with experience
Work Schedule : Thursday - Monday 12 : 00 AM - 8 : 30 AM
POSITION SUMMARY
The Kitchen Staff, under the direct supervision of the Kitchen Supervisor, are responsible for food preparation. The Kitchen Staff will possess strong communication skills and identify opportunities for streamlining operational services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare three (3) daily meals for residents adhering to the quality and quantity necessary to meet the needs and standards set forth in the "Recommended Dietary Allowances," 9th edition, 1980, adopted by the Food and Nutrition Board;
- Observe personal hygiene and food services sanitation practices;
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of kitchen utensils and equipment;
- Adhere to all safety laws and rules;
- Prepare late meals for those residents who work off-site after meal hours;
- Provide between-meal nourishment to all residents;
- Provide modified diets to those residents prescribed by a physician as a medical necessity;
- Assist with weekly menu planning;
- Maintain daily and weekly inventory logs;
- Assist with weekly food ordering;
- Assist with the management of daily kitchen and dining hall operations;
- Communicate, and adhere to program policies and procedures, including SUDPOH, Casa Raphael Operations Manual, Employee Handbook, and Health / Safety Handbooks;
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Supervisor.

- Ability to transport equipment / materials throughout the facility;
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, lifting (up to 50lbs.) and stooping;

In addition, the education, experience, and other skills listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and / or abilities required of the employee for this job.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Valid food handlers' card;
- Two (2) years of congregate feeding program experience;
- Strong leadership and cooking ability;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook;
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid certification;
- Knowledge of overdose prevention and Naloxone distribution emergency response.
