Mission
Alpin Haus specializes in the sales and service of products to help families enjoy the great outdoors. The Lot Attendant is responsible for the safe moving and transport of the Company’s and customer’s recreational vehicles, boats, and other equipment both on property and occasionally, over the road.
Outcomes
Successful candidates will:
- Transport recreational vehicles on and around Alpin Haus parking lots, and occasionally to customer or other locations
- Park and/or move vehicles/boats to maximize use of space and maintain lots in good order
- Keep parking areas clean
- Catalog, store, and ensure safekeeping of all keys to units
- Assist in preparing vehicles for maintenance; protect tires, battery, and finish against deterioration
- Perform light indoor shop maintenance, such as sweeping, general cleaning, trash collection and disposal, as requested
- Record and report description of any external damage discovered to units
- Conduct errand runs for dealership as required
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 1 year experience driving or pulling recreational vehicles and/or boat trailers
- Driver’s license, clear of major infractions, and subject to approval from the insurance company
Competencies
- Ability to follow safety instructions and promote a safe working environment
- Customer friendly
- Observant and well organized
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in following written guidelines to perform job functions
Physical and Environmental Conditions
- Talking and hearing, walking and sitting, using hands to grasp, pushing, pulling, climbing, crouching, and reaching with arms/hands, are required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 20 pounds frequently, to move objects.
- Exposure to adverse environmental conditions; work is usually performed outside in all types of weather.
