About The Role
General Accountability: The primary purpose of this position is to be the primary point of contact to coordinate, manage, and provide deliverables for environmental projects and compliance samples.
Responsibilities
About you:
- P rimary point of contact to coordinate, manage and provide timely responses to internal and external customer inquiries related to project deliverables.
- Schedule data deliverables and maintain database of deliverable requirements and schedules to meet client and in-house due dates and turnaround times.
- Coordinate data from all analytical departments for assembly of data deliverables.
- Assemble client and industry specific data deliverables, including organization of data summary forms and raw analytical data using Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Microsoft Word, and other industry specific software.
- Review QAPPs and SOWs, evaluate deliverables required, and coordinate final laboratory report submission including EDDs and data deliverable packages.
- Define deliverable project requirements to ensure all contract requirements are met and communicate requirements to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a general working knowledge of analytical methods, method updates, and method usage in order to monitor compliance with industry and local/state/federal regulations.
- Verification of data to meet method and project criteria, including DOD Quality Systems Manual requirements. Become familiar with validation guidelines and tools used by client and third party validators.
- Facilitate corrective action when required to meet customer needs.
- Manage use of several third party software programs to meet deliverable requirements.
- Manage compliance reporting for state and federal programs.
- Work closely with the IT Department in facilitating electronic reporting.
- Maintain and update departmental SOPs as needed.
- Supervise employees in the Reporting Department, including interviewing, hiring, and training as necessary, and provide performance evaluations.
- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by management.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Degree from a university in Chemistry or related college level program
- Minimum of 4 years related to Environmental Chemistry experience.
- Able to speak and hear clearly while communicating with staff, management, and clients.
- Able to sit, and /or stand for 100% of an 8 hour day.
- Dexterity in hands and fingers to operate computer and other equipment.
- Must have average vision and able to see to read reports and operate equipment.
