Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced paralegal to perform a wide variety of administrative, legal operations, and paralegal functions to support the Legal Department. This position will report to the General Counsel.

Essential Job Functions:
- Provide administrative support to Legal Department; answer and direct phone calls, sort and distribute mail, prepare correspondence, maintain calendars, organize and maintain files, maintain contact lists, etc.
- Coordinate Legal Department projects, meetings, and other activities.
- Receive and track service of process and intake matters in RMIS.
- Prepare, distribute, and monitor litigation holds.
- Track and maintain professional memberships for department staff.
- Create, update, and maintain organizational documents, including articles of incorporation or dissolution, bylaws, stock certificates, merger agreements, etc.
- Draft corporate resolutions and other similar documents.
- Prepare and revise non-disclosure and other agreements based on existing forms and templates.
- Perform basic legal research and draft routine legal documents for review and use by Legal Department staff.
- Assist in managing outside litigation counsel and assist with fulfilling requests for documents for outside counsel review and case or project preparation.
- Track, maintain, and keep current all required state registrations with each Secretary of State for the company and all subsidiaries.
- Track and maintain company trademarks and intellectual property.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Familiarity with legal processes and procedures.
- Working knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a legal department.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Adobe Professional or similar programs.
- Ability to collaborate as a member of a team and interface and work effectively with other departments within the company.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, research, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
- Ability to follow directions as given, understand the purpose of an assignment, and implement problem-solving abilities as needed.
- Familiarity with RMIS a plus.
Education and Experience Requirements:
At least five years of experience as a legal assistant and/or paralegal is required. College degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred.
Working Environment:
- Typical indoor office environment, working space, meeting rooms, lunch room
- Physical demands for the shift consist of standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time, occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs, typing, hearing, and speaking.
