JOB TITLE: Remote Student Services Manager
REPORT TO: Special Education Director
CONTRACT HOURS/DAYS:
LOCATION: Alsea School District – Remote

NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Alsea Remote Student Services Manager works closely with other programs to ensure the provision of special program services in compliance with the Oregon Department of Education.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have experience working in the area of special programs including special education, 504, ELL and TAG.
Experience working with reporting to Oregon Department of Education on special programs.
High attention to detail
Ability to work well with diverse departments and staff
Highly organized
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversight to the special programs, including, enrollment procedures, intake of IEPs and other special program records
Work remotely with the onsite file clerk to maintain accurate and detailed special education files
Prepare all state reporting requirements and work with the registrar to ensure accurate filing for special programs
Maintains positive communication with school personnel, community agencies, and parents/guardians
Serve as a resource for staff, administrators, and parents
Work with special education case managers to provide compliance in all areas of IEP completion and delivery.
Work with related service providers to ensure compliance of services
Attends ESD and other workshops and staff development classes to remain current on data procedures.
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of all district policies and procedures.
Function as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Protect confidentiality of records and information about students and staff and use discretion when sharing any such information within legal confines.
Adhere to Oregon school law, State Board of Education rules and regulations, Board of Education policies and regulations, school regulations and procedures, and contractual obligations.
Perform any duties and responsibilities that are within the scope of employment, as assigned by the Superintendent or designee, and not otherwise prohibited by law or regulation.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Non-essential duties of this position include the following tasks. Employees in this position perform some or all these tasks. Other duties may be assigned at any time.
Operates and troubleshoots various office equipment including computers, telephones, and web cameras.
Attends in-service trainings, staff meetings and other meetings as assigned.
Reports issues to the principal and the appropriate authorities.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Consistently follows all applicable federal and state laws and all district policies, rules, and supervisor directions.
Observes ergonomics of sedentary office work including placement of computers and monitors and sitting alignment.
Observes proper lifting techniques and other strategies to avoid accidents and personal injury while performing job duties.
Performs other duties as assigned.
