Join us as Installation Lead, and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Miami (FL), US.
Main interface to Project ITC Manager and Project Manager in regards to Installation scope. Ensure and provide guidance regarding to the Standard Methods and Statements adopt within BT across all the project in North America.
To write and review Installation Instructions and PICO (Post Installation Check-out) procedures, Test Reports and NCR Gap Analysis providing proper and timely status and warnings to the Project Engineer, Project ITC Manager, Project Manager and ITC Senior Manager in case of misalignments and process faults.
Secure that the field team is completely aligned to the central office (Pittsburgh) practices challenging Method and Statements. Key person during the Installation phase aiming hand-over a Quality and Timely installation to the Test Led. Commitment to the HSE Bombardier and customer practices being the main sponsor to secure that everyone is following the rules.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning:
Plan and support the Project Manager to lead the installation activities on-site according to approved drawings and procedures, making the appropriate record on those in an as built format.
Verify that BT procedures and standards are being fully followed reporting gaps and deviations to Engineering, and Test Team.
Issue the Installation Lookahead, matching with the schedule milestones Lead site meetings with contractors and employees related to installation activities.
Be responsible for the manpower schedule, respecting people shifts and duties while focusing in the project deliverables.
Documentation:
Issue and review Methods and Statements, PICO Test Procedures, PICO Test Reports and NCR reports.
Prepare and updating technical documentation. Support in making lay outs, typical drawings and solutions. To keep documents in an organized way (revision and traceability).
Reporting:
Keep a traceability of schedule against known and validated metrics.
Report to the Field team ( Project ITC Manager and Installation Manager) significant deviations proposing action plans to recover delays.
Based on the Project KPI and its own observations report to the Wayside ITC Senior Manager its deviation with his/her analysis in a weekly basis.
Create KPI to track installation progress, access possession and test reports progress.
Be responsible for generating the monthly progress report for the ITC Manager.
People:
Be responsible for a Lessons learned library. In this activity close collaboration to the test team will be needed.
Ensure that the Configuration Process in installation is being followed (including Maximo records).
Develop and train the team in the right standards to execute the ITC scope on-site leading by example.
Execution:
Supervise the Electrical Installer on-site to ensure they are following the right documentation.
Be in charge of negotiating the access program with the customer and provide to the contractor.
Also be in charge of executing and leading the PICO tests.
After the PICO tests you must review the results, record the NCR and sign-out the test sheets.
Execute Switch and interlocking equipment tests to put the system back to work upon the renovation of that specific equipment.
As our ideal candidate you have:
A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics Engineering or related fields.
A Technical degree with outstanding experience on supervising Installation activities.
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
Experienced in carry out or support complex signalling and wayside installation activities.
Previous knowledge of CF650 will be highly appreciate.
Project Management, Engineering, Materials knowledge
MS Project, AutoCAD handling drawings, MS Office knowledge
