What are the responsibilities and job description for the NCR Technician position at ALSTOM?

- Drive/lead the process of non-conformities on purchased parts (coparts, suppliers, free parts, customers, sub-contractors) from the defect characterization on production area, re-feeding to the line, containment and closure of curative actions.
Tasks
- Characterize the defect on purchased parts (5W2H) and write the relevant reports (NCR : Non conformity reports) with the objective to limit production disturbances.
- Block (or ask to block) stock for non-conform parts
- Create Non-conformity reports in ERP and SQP (Supplier Quality Portal)
- Notify NCR to supplier via Supplier Quality Portal tool (NCR module) for NCR with supplier or expertise liability
- Participate to daily and weekly meetings with various stakeholders
- Reduce the backlog of NCR to be sent to the suppliers to the minimum
- Place and monitor NCR orders for new parts, warranty, repairs in ERP (GSI), follow up quotations and lead times
- Request stock movements
- Prioritize urgencies according to production lines needs and challenge material planners when a NC generates a missing part
- Animate daily and weekly meetings with the involved stakeholders
- Ensure product integrity for transfer from production line to restricted area, during restricted area storage and until shipment to the supplier
- Relevant Quality KPI of NCR cell :
- Number of opened and closed non -conformities
- NCR’s in each stage of process
- Blocked stock value
- % of NCR liability
- Overall non-conformity process time
- Volume of issued and closed non-conformities
EHS :
- Ensure the application of safety guidelines and proper use of manufacturing equipment
- Enforce the application of prevention plans
- Take all required actions when confronted with any hazard
- Report all deviation on the production line or in the warehouse
