Systems Administrator

Altamira is searching for a Systems Administrator in Dahlgren, VA.
Required Qualifications:
- United States Citizen
- Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
Required Education and Experience:
- 5 years’ experience as a High-Performance Computers (HPC) System Administrator
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM and/or IT discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Five (5) years of additional System Administrator experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrated ability to architect, implement, and evaluate HPC server configurations
- Experience working with data storage, code libraries, and input/output optimization
- Ability to implement new and interface with existing hard/software solutions to improve and expedite computational performance
- Experience investigating and resolving computational performance issues related to COTS/GOTS computational codes as a technical liaison with other departments and stakeholders to implement, integrate, review, and evaluate technologies and services
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, users, and hardware vendors to analyze business needs and identify and procure components for both existing and new systems
- Experience serving as a technical liaison with other staff members to monitor system performance for the resolution of current and future issues and maintain system firmware and software revision
