The Community Support Professional provides assistance and companionship for individuals living in their own homes who need a little assistance each week to live their best lives. The work shift is typically shorter, and this is an ideal position for a student who wants to gain invaluable experience in a people-compassionate field. After the initial 80 hours of paid training, candidates may expect to work 2-10 hours per week, and more.
Job Summary: Community Support Professional works directly with an individual to provide the specific services to meet the individualized needs of that individual. Community Support Professional may also work with a group of individuals (ASYP or ACTion Club), in ratios between one and six to provide supports needed for individuals to participate in selected activities and progress on individual goals. Programming is varied and may occur in a variety of settings. The Community Support Professional works as a member of a team and reports to a Program Supervisor.

Pay Range for this position is $17.50 to $18.50 and will be based on experience, education and currently held certificates which are relevant to the field. $1 shift differential on all evening and a $3 differential on weekend hours.
Upon completion of six months of employment, you will receive a $.50/hour rate increase. Upon completion of 12 months of employment, you will receive a second $.50/hour rate increase.
