Overview: The Localization team’s mission at Alteryx is to ensure that our platform and supporting documentation looks and sounds natural to users in their own countries. We are a group of passionate and motivated professionals from all over the world who excel in a culturally diverse environment. We work cross-functionally with Product Management and Product Development to help educate and provide guidance on our internationalization and localization processes, making sure we have a successful launch in all our supported international markets. Responsibilities: Lead our high-performing and culturally diverse team of 7 localization professionals, fostering a positive culture of inclusion and respect, and creating a fun and collaborative work environment. Promote professional development for your direct reports. You will select and delegate projects, programs, and initiatives to your team members, and guide them through the experience and challenges to achieve successful outcomes. Act as the main point of contact for Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, Development Team Leads, and other business partners on the localization needs and requirements. Collaborate closely with the internationalization software delivery team in defining I18n and L10n priorities and roadmap for product features, as well as custom technologies needed for the localization process. Advocate and represent the voices of our global users, as well as provide guidance and support to localization professionals in other areas of the business, such as Marketing, Community, Sales, and Training. Manage the relationship with the translation vendors, including purchasing, negotiating contracts, QA discussions, budget management, technology solutions, vendor evaluation and selection, etc. Promote communication and collaboration with other areas of the business that focus on content delivery, such as UX, Technical Writing, and Training. Define and implement processes, schedules, and timelines to deliver content localized in 8 languages, for each release, for each product. Content includes UI copy as well as technical documentation for on-premises, desktop, and cloud products. Manage, update, communicate, and ensure compliance with localization assets such as translation memories, glossaries, term databases, style guides, etc. Qualifications: BA or equivalent experience required, preferably in translation, linguistics, communication, business, or related fields; 3 years of Localization program management experience, working with cross-functional teams. Experience managing a team of at least 3 professionals, preferably multicultural and highly diverse. Experience with larger teams preferred. People oriented. You know how to identify your individual contributors' potentials and coach them to take their skillsets to the next level. You give feedback frequently and find ways to motivate your team to learn and grow. Technical background and strong familiarity with translation platforms, processes, and technologies. 2 years of experience working with software engineers and product teams, or experience with international customer-facing teams such as Sales and Support. Strong project management, problem solving, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships across different teams and business units. Fluency in at least 2 languages, additional languages preferred. Ability to work across time zones with multiple development and product teams. Compensation: Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Broomfield, CO is between $78,300 and $129,200.  Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.  This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled.
