What are the responsibilities and job description for the Media Planner position at Altice USA?
This media specialist role is critical to the success of the team's execution of our media placement and strategy. Our team is responsible for all media placement for the Optimum and Suddenlink brands, reporting on performance of the media activity, and driving subscriber growth for the consumer brands.
In this role you’ll support the media and marketing teams with day to day operational support while also working in collaboration with other cross-functional teams across the Business to Consumer CMO organization. You’ll be asked to multi-task, track deliverables and responsibilities, all while supporting the broader team. You’re a person who has an ability to interpret data to inform business decisions.
The ideal candidate is someone who is a relationship builder, has a passion for marketing, possesses a mix of creative and quantitative mindsets, and a keen attention to detail. This position must collaborate effectively with both internal partners and the external agencies, vendors and partners to help manage the execution of marketing activity that delivers results.
- Provide support and manage the trafficking process for owned media platforms (Optimum.net, Cross Channel TV, Set-top banners/promo tiles, News12 Activity, etc.)
- Report on activity on owned media platforms – Optimum.net digital impressions & clicks, cross channel clearance etc.
- Work with partner media agency to identify high quality cable programming to prioritize internal marketing initiatives within high profile programming.
- Partner with media agency to handle internal requests it generate tracking URLs for marketing, CRM, and customer service tactics.
- 1-800 Assignment: Manage database of available 800 numbers and assign numbers to tactics based on requests from internal teams (Marketing, Ecomm, etc.)
- Work with Sales operations to ensure 1-800 numbers reach the target end experience within the IVR
- Route third party invoices to each successive approver to acquire approvals needed for A/P
- Track age and approval status of invoices and escalate as needed to ensure critical vendors are paid promptly
- Act as the glue on the internal media team, capturing meeting notes and handling ad hoc requests.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or an equivalent field
- 2-4 years of experience in marketing, media buying/planning, or marketing communications – Media agency experience preferred
- Strong and effective project management skills and the ability to lead and direct internal and external resources
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects
- Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
