Job Summary
Altice USA is looking for a talented, dynamic fulltime UI Designer who will be responsible for designing and iterating optimized end-to-end experiences.
Optimum Mobile, a subsidiary of Altice USA, is supported by one the fastest 5G networks in the world, and is also part of the Optimum/Suddenlink Home Internet family. You have superior user interface design skills with an eye for clean, artful mobile and web design. You know how to transform high-level requirements into interactions flows and artifacts that shine visually, creating intuitive, functional and beautiful designs our users will love.
You have a background in ecommerce and technical UI design, and a strong strategic design approach backed by your own creative process. A portfolio that showcases how much you truly geek out over design is also essential. What You’ll Do:
In this integral and highly collaborative role, you will help drive the consumer experience and ensure all designs are optimal for visual design and usability. You will blend intuitive interfaces and workflows to design elegant experiences that delight the end users, all while ensuring our business goals are balanced with our user goals. You will work alongside product management, other UX/UI designers, content strategists and more to define the ideal design state for both websites. This role requires a self-starter and someone who can guide the UI design process from start to completion and own and help maintain the design system.
Responsibilities
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
- Conceptualize original mobile and website design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas
- Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
Qualifications
Qualifications / Requirements/Experience
- 3-5 years proven work experience as a Web/UI Designer
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
- Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools, such as Figma
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
- Proficiency with PM tools, including Trello and JIRA
- Versed in data platforms to help guide design recommendations, including Adobe, Google and ContentSquare
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
- Up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques and technologies
- BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or a Visual Arts subject
