Job Posting for Process Controls Engineer at ALTIVIA
ALTIVIA is looking for an experienced Process Controls Engineer to join our team. The controls engineer is responsible for designing, programming, commissioning, testing, and maintaining the distributed control system for the facility in La Porte, Texas. The control system engineer will also support the other engineers and operations personnel as it relates to projects and troubleshooting operational issues. Industrial plant experience is required, but chemical plant experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining, modifying, and continued development of the Foxboro I/A Windows-based Distributed Control System (DCS). This consists of mesh networks, servers, workstations, and hybrid control processors with associated Inputs/Outputs. It also consists of Foxboro system administration and cybersecurity.
Responsible for maintaining and modifying stand-alone Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) in the plant. Typical PLC units are Allen Bradley Micrologix.
Responsible for engineering design/review of electrical/instrumentation projects in the plant.
Qualifications
Engineering degree with appropriate emphasis/coursework/experience in controls.
Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology is desired.
Candidate must possess working knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Experience with System Auditor (Foxray), AIM historian, Wonderware I/A Batch, SFCs, HLBL, and MODBUS is desirable.
