Position: Shipping Loader

1st shift 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mon - Thurs, some overtime on Fridays

Pay Rate : $22 - $22.66/hr DOE

BRP AlumaCraft in St. Peter, MN has an opening in our Shipping department. AlumaCraft has been a recognized employer in St Peter, building fishing boats for over 75 years! AlumaCraft became a part of BRP in 2018.

Purpose:

Our shipping department is relied upon to make sure that our boats get to our great customers. The importance of this position cannot be understated. We must make sure the boats are secured correctly as well as help repair any defects the boats may have incurred during the manufacturing process. It is also important to make sure that the right boats are going out on the right shipment. Though there are great responsibilities in this position, you get the pleasure of seeing all our beautiful completed boats go to our loyal dealers and customers.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials.
• Select gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules.
• Align, level, and anchor machinery.
• Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
• Verify boat load numbers to ensure placement accuracy based on written or verbal instructions.
• Operate loading and unloading equipment, hoists, and other specialized material handling equipment.
• Align, fit and assemble components of boat trailers.
• Manually or mechanically load and unload boat trailers.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds consistently

Education & Experience:

• High School graduate or GED
• Experience working in Manufacturing
• Experience working with heavy equipment
