As Alumni Ventures Group continues to grow and develop our business and the critical functions that support our success, we are adding a Treasury Analyst to our Fund Accounting team. Reporting to the Vice President of Fund Accounting, the Treasury Analyst is responsible for assisting with a variety of treasury-related matters, including cash management, reporting, supporting the company’s cash management operations and tracking liquidity.


  • Daily processing and review of cash positions, including incoming and outing activity with appropriate approvals and audit trails
  • Monthly cash reconciliations between Funds’ Investor databases, Investment databases, and cash accounts
  • Processing investor information uploads, reconciled with Investor portal information, depositing checks, finalizing monthly fund raise numbers (collected basis)
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of bank accounts, balances, bank/Treasury systems and bank cost information
  • Manage for appropriate returns on investor cash in a Fund prior to its deployment into portfolio companies
  • Works closely with Fund Accounting team to process deal transfers, management fee drawdowns and its allocation across relevant Funds as well as process distributions, carry payouts, fund of fund transfers and annual Investor Tier payouts.
  • Ensure all activity/requests are aligned with appropriate approval chain and has appropriate paper trail for historical record keeping
  • Initiate wires based on company policies; monitor ACH and check disbursement and uncashed checks
  • Setup and maintain fund bank accounts as well as corporate accounts as needed
  • General ledger account coding for disbursements and intercompany cash and interest transfers in line with the Loan Tracker (and established policy)

  • A strong understanding of Treasury fundamentals and knowledge of best practices in Treasury functions

  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and exceptional listening skills
  • Experience designing and implementing effective processes around the reporting function
  • Relevant experience building, using and reading financial spreadsheets
  • Well refined analytical abilities
  • High proficiency in MS Office Products

Experience & Education

  • BS/BA required
  • 4-5 years prior Treasury experience; exposure to venture, private equity, mutual fund, CLO, or similar accounting is preferred
