Career Details:
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, Bachelor’s degree or higher-level Behavioral Health Counselors who are LSW, LPC, LPCC, LiSW, LiCDC licensed to join our team of professionals in the Columbus area. As an Alvis Clinical Counsel, you will provide integrated behavioral healthcare care services; diagnosis, treatment of substance use disorder and mental/emotional disorders, case management and treatment planning for clients who have been referred to Alvis for Substance use Disorder (SUD) Residential Treatment Program or Outpatient Care. You will also develop comprehensive care management plans based on completion and/or review of substance use, behavioral health/mental health/, biopsychosocial and related assessment as they relate to a client’s current functioning. Provides substance use and mental health counseling (individual, group and family. Develops and monitors individualized treatment plans and continuing care plans in cooperation with a multi-disciplinary treatment. Provides diagnosis and treatment of mental and emotional disorders. Follows operating procedures to ensure compliance with the following regulatory bodies; OhioMHAS, CARF and Alvis.
Qualifications
- Strong motivational interviewing and CBT skills which reflect your ability to build rapport and establish strong therapeutic working relationships with clients
- Licensed by the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professional Board as a LPC, LPCC, LICDC, LCDC III; or Ohio Counseling and Social Worker Board as an LSW, LiSW
- Two or more years of experience providing integrated behavioral healthcare services
- Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license
- Must pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug test
- Must complete 40 hours of in-service &/or professional development training annually
- A detailed job description will be provided during the interview and upon hire.
- MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
