• We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic who will join our team in Independence, Oregon. The Plant Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining all industrial equipment at the plant site. Performs maintenance duties as assigned. The duties listed under work performed are not all-inclusive and are only intended to indicate what may be expected. Maintains a safe working environment according to company policy at all times.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and perform inspections, repair and maintenance on parts of equipment and machines including electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic ​and pneumatic repairs.
• Repair production line equipment including conveyor bets, packaging equipment, ​grinding equipment and stacking equipment.
• May maintain records of jobs performed in order to develop a history of repairs ​so that preventative maintenance can be performed.
• May perform or assist in the installation of machinery and equipment.
• Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Cut and welding, including light steel fabrication.
• Performs maintenance duties or other duties as assigned.
• Keeps wok area clean, orderly and safe.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Electrical troubleshooting, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repair experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to climb platforms, ladders to make repairs
• Ability to ready numbers and product descriptions
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
• Ability to push buttons, monitor controls
• May be required to have own basic set of tools
• Ability to maintain written records

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $28.00 per hour
