ABOUT THE JOB
Framing team:
Our framing crew focuses on 'shelling in' our new builds over the summer season. This is typically the wall framing, roof framing, roof covering (typically shingle but sometimes metal roofing), installing exterior doors and windows. We build custom homes, complete 1-2 home additions per season, as well as build detached garages / shops / and other outbuildings. The framing crew may also build decks, and assist on interior renovations that involve framing. (Often times we will gut an entire home interior to studs, complete new framing for a new layout, and then refinish the interior). Fairbanks is filled with older homes, and renovations are common.
With our outdoor framing being so seasonal - our framing crew transitions to other work in the winter. (We keep our team employed year round).
Winter work is a combination of finishing out the homes we framed, as well as tackling other remodels / home repairs.
Daily job reports are required. (We have a project management software the team works off of / you will get trained on).
Foreman specific duties:
This is a working foreman position. The foreman will work alongside his crew and run day to day operations for the team overseen.
The framing foreman will assist with project planning (including material orders and takeoffs).
Framing foreman will resolve issues on the job site (both with the work and with the team being overseen).
Communicate with office and Human Resources as needed.
Ensure quality expectations are met on all projects.
Communicate with clients and/or homeowners routinely throughout a project.
Communicate with trade partners.
Keep clear records of project activity in company provided project management software. (Training will be provided)
We are looking for someone with a strong skillset, a positive attitude, and a quality eye.
