About Your Business Area/Department:
Solve some of the most challenging problems in scheduling and planning for airlines. Build profitable and robust schedules with Amadeus Sky suite, the only solution in the market that can optimize frequency plans automatically, build airline schedules from scratch, simulate the entire network, and many more unique capabilities to unlock your airline's revenue potential.
Summary of the role:
Solve the reduction of airline schedule efficiently. Airlines often cancels the flights and deciding what flight to cancel while other decisions such as fleet assignment and timing optimization is pending is hard. The objective is to solve reduction, retiming, re-fleeting together with the ability to constantly evaluate the reduction decisions.
In this role you'll:
- Daily: Discuss ideas, document and implement in rapid prototyping mode.
- Weekly: Share updates and make presentations for customers (Internal/external)
- Customer facing: Discuss requirements (on-site vs remote) and present PoC results.
About the ideal candidate:
- MS. Or PhD. in Operations Research/Computer Science
- 3 years of experience in mathematical programming or meta heuristics
- 3 years working in airline industry or any industry solving network flow optimization problems.
