Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at a reputable restaurant. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality Japanese dishes to our customers from sashimi, nigiri, rolls, ramen, to bento boxes ... Duties:
- Prepare different types of Japanese dishes from sushi, sashimi, to grilled and soup items.
- Manage food prep activities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering and stocking ingredients
- Stay updated on current industry trends and techniques related to sushi preparation
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Chef in Japanese restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including knife skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred, but not required
