We are currently seeking a Distance Learning Adult Basic Education (ABE) high school equivalency (HSE) coordinator. The Distance Learning HSE Coordinator will develop and manage the online distance learning program. Train DL instructional team. Teach students the necessary lessons for successful completion of the High School Equivalency (HSE) examination administered in four areas, Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. The Distance Learning coordinator will also assist in preparing students for post-secondary education. Also, prepares lesson plans and manages online classroom instruction using high engagement practices and retention strategies.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required travel between offices, buildings and required the ability to lift, carry, push, pull and or maneuver office supplies as needed.
Schedule: The schedule will be base on the applicant's availability.
Work Environment: This position is located in Amarillo, Texas and operates in a professional environment, routinely uses standard office equipment (i.e. computers, phones, copy and fax machines, filing cabinets) and is in a high traffic area with continual interruptions. Software commonly used includes Microsoft Office, Colleague, and various other educational applications.
Travel Expectations: Some travel may be required for this position. Be knowledgeable with Amarillo College travel policy.
