The Amarillo Country Club is gearing up for the 2024 season!! We are looking for one motivated individual who would like to join our team full time as our pool cleaner for the season and seasons moving forward. Great summertime job for college students.
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Cleaner to join our team. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in various settings. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical knowledge and experience in pool cleaning and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
- Maintain cleanliness of floors by using appropriate cleaning equipment
- Follow established procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power tools
- Perform pool cleaning and maintenance tasks as required
- Conduct equipment repairs and maintenance as needed
- Set and maintain a healthy and safe environment for all members and users of the facility
- Daily pool and deck maintenance
- Ability to follow oral and written instruction from management
- Individual must be self-sufficient and make decisions based off of observations
- Set up and operate pool vacuum
- Learn and operate pumps in the pool room
- Spray down deck and patio furniture
- Empty skimmer baskets around pool deck
- Skim pool surface
- Regular pool and deck maintenance
Experience:
- Previous experience in pool cleaning, pool maintenance, or as a service technician is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge is required
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools is necessary
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- This position will have set hours and in person training
- Our ideal applicant has the availability to work 20-30 hours per week during the 2024 summer season.
- This position will be in the morning/ afternoon
- This position requires applicant to be outside for prolonged periods of time in varying types of weather

Job hours
Monday 8am-4pm
Thursday - Friday 8am-12pm
Saturday - Sunday 7am-11pm
Must be 18 years and older
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
