Job summary
Interested in building a new large scale advertising vertical? We're looking for an experienced technical product leader to unlock a new vertical of advertising products and placements, leveraging Amazon unique properties.
As the Head of Product for this vertical, you will be responsible for all aspects of the product - from vision and strategy, through to product and feature requirements. You will partner with multiple teams across Amazon to identify new advertising placements in this vertical, align on positioning and guidelines to earn customer/advertiser/stakeholder trust, define advertising solutions that customers love and that allow brands to achieve their objectives in novel ways, and develop innovative technologies, systems and processes to deliver these solutions at scale. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced technical product leader who loves to rally teams around an ambitious vision and solve intrinsically complex problems across product, engineering and operations.
This person will lead a team of product managers, product marketing managers and program managers, focused on a portfolio of emerging products for this vertical.
Key job responsibilities

Develop a long-term strategy and vision. Identify key initiatives to make progress on this vision.

Lead product and technology roadmaps from concept to execution.

Partner closely with engineers to evaluate and propose technical solutions, to get to market quickly while maximizing long-term velocity.

Drive business inputs as part of a go-to-market strategy, including pricing, marketing and sales.

Drive strategic product communications (e.g. decision narratives, investment proposals) with senior executives both internally and externally.

Develop strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and drive cross-team and cross-org alignment.

Measure improvements and impact of changes by creating mechanisms to audit impact and perform necessary course corrections where needed to meet business objectives.

Hire and develop talents; improve team efficiency.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or MBA from top tier school

Experience in contributing to development of software products for ecommerce, advertising or operations.

Demonstrated track record of cultivating strong working relationships and driving collaboration across multiple technical and business teams.

Experience communicating with senior management (VP/SVP level decision-makers) as well as with colleagues from technical and non-technical backgrounds.

- The pay range for this position in Colorado is $197,872-267,709yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
