As an WWPS Senior Partner Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mindshare, adoption and sales of Amazon Web Services in Public Sector. Your mission will be to develop and lead a team of Partner Account Managers globally creating AWS awareness, driving sales and AWS competency with a large system integrator. In this role, you will establish deep business relationships with AWS partners to successfully drive the adoption of key programs focused on Public Sector partners. The ideal candidate will possess a business background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the executive level. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions. In addition, a basic understanding of Cloud essentials is necessary to be successful in this role.

This role is a people manager role, who will lead the efforts for a global team of Public Sector Partner Account Managers (PAMs) direct reports in the US, EMEA, LATAM, who are providing dedicated coverage for this Systems Integrator (and indirect shared coverage in APJ). You will be responsible for growing adoption of AWS services, through field training and enablement and driving top line revenue, including sell-through/with and sell-to revenue by implementing joint sales funnel creation and execution. You will work very closely with the AWS and Partner sales teams to drive joint sales engagement, as well as strategically plan for development of future opportunities and pursuits. Candidates should also have strong Public Sector industry/procurement experience and demonstrated the ability to think and act strategically on the government customer mission, industry directions, and partner/customer technical challenges.

Key job responsibilities
*You will work with a large globally-distributed Systems Integrator to set a strategic partner plan for your target markets and ensure it's in line with the AWS strategic direction in the Public Sector vertical.
*Responsible for executing the strategic sales & business development plan while working with key internal and external stakeholders (e.g. sales teams, technical and service teams, legal, support, etc.).
*Lead a team of Partner Account Managers across multiple global markets.
*Serve as a key member of the AWS Public Sector Partner Team in helping to drive adoption of AWS services through field training and enablement and driving top line revenue, including sell-through and sell-to revenue.
*You will use AWS mechanisms for achieving results and iterating improvements and lead a global extended team to deliver results in a space that operates like a start-up.
*You will need to understand and navigate Public Sector contracting vehicles and procedures.
*You will need to understand the technical considerations and certifications specific to the Public Sector.
*This role requires domestic and global travel as permitted by foreign government travel restrictions.

* BA/BS required or equivalent experience
* 7 years of direct sales and/or channel sales experience leading teams across multiple markets.
* 7 years of business development with large globally distributed SIs and/or strategic partnerships with large account enterprise sales experience as well.
* 5 years of experience with outsourcing or managed services, consulting, cloud migration activities, or hosted and managed services in the technology industry
* Ability to travel as necessary (up to 40% travel)
* Experience in customer facing roles leading large scale transformation pursuits or extensive customer engagements with systems integrators and/or large enterprises.
* Experience in technology enabled consultative, sales or business development roles focused on enterprises.
* Experience in cloud technologies - understanding of public and hybrid cloud platforms or as-a-Service models (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).
* Experience leading, implementing, managing and executing field programs and resources. * Enterprise negotiation skills, and business and financial acumen.
* Strong analytical skills, and demonstrated ability to turn detailed data analysis into useful strategic insight in order to drive customer adoption and make appropriate recommendations to the business.
* Strong verbal and written communications skills.
* Entrepreneurial, self-starter with the ability to collaborate and compromise to meet and excel set goals and objectives.
* MBA is highly valued as is a technical background with Computer Science, and/or Engineering/Math background.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
* Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $149,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $278,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
