We are looking for a driven, experienced, and organized Creative Planning Manager to join our newly-formed Creative Partnerships team at Prime Video. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Creative Partnerships. This is not a creative role; it drives the strategy for developing programs designed to scale creative workflows and streamline how we work with our diverse roster of external creative agencies and individuals to create content & campaigns. This role will partner closely with various internal teams, including Creative Production Studio, Creative Studio, Marketing Operations/Strategy/Analysis, Genre Marketing, Procurement, Capacity Planning, and Finance.

Key job responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for developing partnership strategies anchored in data, identifying opportunities for automation and workflow improvements in our current ecosystem, educating agencies on our standards and brand guidelines, and ensuring every campaign has the right resources to raise the bar creatively. All of these efforts are rooted in a deep knowledge of campaign/marketing best practices and a proven ability to foster strong cross-functional relationships and continually assess, prioritize, and drive initiatives that achieve our mission of creative excellence at scale. Candidate should have analytics experience with a passion for using data to inform strategic decision making and will also be responsible for providing business intelligence and insights regarding creative vendor efficacy, operational planning, risks and opportunities, and support internal business review mechanisms such as Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR).

A day in the life
  • Develop a strategic approach and a strong bench of agency and vendor talent to own consumer creative asset development, post production, finishing, localization, and delivery on small to medium scale film, series and brand projects (mainly key art for cross-functional media, digital/social assets, O&O platform breakouts, including Brand, Legal, Guild and MPAA guidelines)
  • Oversee a select number of external vendor relationships, regularly assess capabilities, adhere to standardized rate card, and regularly iterate rates to align with KPIs, efficiency, and cost containment. Implement cost reduction initiatives relative to our volume in order to deliver the desired customer experience.
  • Build and manage KPIs to track budget spend, customer experience goals, and success measures, especially quality and efficiency.
  • Establish governance for negotiated and contracted service fees in the outsourcing network.
  • Gather business intelligence to drive impactful process changes in key partnerships, analytics, and metrics/reporting
  • Manage key processes and inputs that support business review mechanisms, such as WBR and QBR.

* Experience leading strategy or product management of internal tools and dashboards to measure internal and external vendor performance. * Eye for great creative and compelling campaign dynamics; understanding why something works and why it doesn’t. * Proven ability to bring clarity to ambiguous situations. * Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, excellent prioritization skills * Ability to simultaneously think strategically, creatively, and tactically with strong attention to detail. * Fluency in MS Office applications * Experience with project management software, such as Smartsheets * Confident and comfortable with new technology, eager to learn and master new tools * Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal * Experience working with and presenting to senior executives * Proven experience managing external partners, including creative agencies and service providers * Demonstrated contract negotiation experience. * Proven experience in capacity/demand planning, supply chain or related fields. * Understand, advocate for, and embody Amazon’s Leadership Principles (https://www.amazon.jobs/en/internal/principles).
