AMZL Energy is looking for a Business Analyst to help build the equipment supply chain solutions to scale the infrastructure that will support our electric delivery vehicle fleet. Our project has a bold long-term vision to drive de-carbonization in transportation by growing electrical infrastructure across North America! In this role, you will be responsible for converting data into actionable business insights. The ideal candidate is an analysis expert who leverages a variety of data platforms and analytical tools to provide timely, meaningful, and consumable information. They build deep contextual and domain knowledge, and ensure data quality and build scalable tools. They communicate findings with the most effective and influential methods. The candidate should possess a history of building relevant programs at scale alongside technical teams. This comes with a lot of opportunities to develop/launch a new suite of product capabilities and also grow as a leader.
As a Business Analyst in the AMZL Energy Supply Chain Team, you will be responsible for partnering with multiple stakeholders to forecast the business needs, plan and execute supply chain deliverables. A critical part of this role is to develop stable models and to be able to take the stabilized models to the next level from an automation standpoint. This role requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with other Program Teams, Engineering, Operations, and Finance stakeholders in a high-pressure environment. You will manage a high-visibility program and partner with all levels of leadership to exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist.
Key job responsibilities
The Supply Chain Team for AMZL Energy partners with major OEMs across North Americas to procure EV infrastructure equipment and deploys it at scale across 100 EV projects annually. There are 3 main functions: Supplier Relationship Management (SPOC for suppliers, escalations, scorecards, value engineering), Planning (~100 sites per year schedule alignment, flow of equipment), and Product Management (Sourcing and product strategy, cost savings, market trends, allocations). Travel expected 10-20% per month.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. - Own the development and maintenance of new and existing solution artifacts which are focused on driving efficiency within the business via analysis, metrics, and reporting dashboards.
- Partner with operations/business teams to consult, develop and implement KPI’s, automated reporting/process solutions, and process improvements to meet business needs.
- Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
- Prepare and deliver business requirements reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks.
- Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions.
- Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support our business needs.

Basic Qualifications
- 2 years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
- 2 years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
- 2 years of experience with Supply Chain Management concepts, e.g., forecasting, planning, optimization, and logistics
- Master's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience partnering with executive-level leaders to identifying and solving business issues
