Job summary
Are you an experienced BD who wants to support AWS customers and partners from North America to extend their success globally? Are you good at customer executive communication, finding best practices, building new solutions and scaling them across a large global organization? We are looking for a seasoned BD to support “Global-to-China” business development. These include efforts such as help customers to understand the cloud regulations and data security laws, developing and managing technical solutions that allow customers to use AWS services in China effectively and compliantly, or, support ISV and SI partners to sell their products and land their services with AWS in China. The successful candidate will be an experienced business developer with both North America and China background, a keen sense of opportunity identification and pursuit, and a penchant for normalizing activities through the influence of others. You will work with Business Development, Product, Support, Professional Service and Marketing teams from both North America and China on key customers and partners’ engagement. You will enable AWS internal expertise and solve customers’ problems locally, define and build the mechanisms to scale our knowledge and practice to modernization “Global-to-China” support.

This role can be located in any AWS Office on Eastern Time Zone.

Key job responsibilities
Roles & Responsibilities
You are responsible for partnering with local domain experts across the globe to identify the most critical technologies and solutions, leveraging legacy use-cases, including software solutions and best-practices architectures, to guide North America based customers and partners to extend business into China and use AWS services
· Work in the International Business Development team and collaborate with the broader AWS teams from sales, marketing, product and services to jointly build “Global-to-China” momentum
· Manage internal global team trainings, lead and support customer/partner executive meetings and workshops
· Represent AWS to present on customer and partner facing industrial and commercial events Create digital content including FAQ, blog, user guide, case studies, presentations to support Global-to-China business”

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8 years of experience on sales and business development in cloud service industry with appropriate level of technical skill
  • Sales or delivery Business Development experience with global Fortune 500 Financial Services enterprise customers and partners





PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years of experience on global or multinational business, experience in commercialize business in China is preferred.
  • Mandarin language skills.
  • MBA or an advanced degree in engineering and/or computer science.
  • A keen sense of ownership, customer centric and scrappiness. Quick learner, hands-on and result driven with sense of urgency.
  • Strong execution of the “planning-execution-sales result” conversion, dive deep at account and opportunity level engagement.
  • Strong C-level communication skills and problem-solving experience
  • Presentation skill to support executive meetings, marketing events, training and workshops.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing market, good insight of cross cloud platform technology and understanding to AWS services;
  • Visible IT Industry thought leadership on relevant topics related to cloud-based enterprise IT in the Financial Services industry;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to navigate changing priorities and ambiguities;
  • Thought Leadership – demonstrate skill of data-driven analysis, able to articulate market trends and opportunities, ability to propose engagement strategy for efficiency and effectives;
  • Proficient writing skills and experienced on digital content creation including conduct business plan, review document, narratives, presentation slides;
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity
