Job summary
Interested in being part of a team that’s pushing the bounds of what’s possible with quantum technology?
We are looking for a research scientist to help build up new quantum hardware infrastructure. You will work closely with our existing quantum science and engineering team to define requirements and design, build, and maintain quantum hardware in a laboratory environment. You will also work cross-functionally with others in the science team to enable their work measuring novel quantum devices.
Potential responsibilities may include:
- Building up new laboratory infrastructure
- Design, construction, and maintenance of complex mechanical, electrical, and cryogenic systems
- Working collaboratively with research scientists

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MS in applied science, electrical engineering, or related discipline
- 3 years experience in a professional engineering laboratory setting
- Experience building laboratory mechanical, electrical, and scientific infrastructure from the ground up
- Basic programming skills (e.g. Python, Matlab, etc..)
- Experience working together with other scientists and engineers
- Superior organizational skills
- Experience in custom design, construction, and maintenance of laboratory equipment
