DESCRIPTION
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
Key job responsibilities
· Development of python based ASIC design verification infrastructure, models and scoreboards using cocotb or similar
Writing clean, scalable object oriented python code
Identifying and developing hardware level checks for ASIC simulations using python
Cross platform compatibility across simulation, emulation, boards, panels
Responsible for the development and maintenance of key infrastructure to support a communications system team’s development and verification work.
A day in the life
Will work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility.
• Driving your own projects working backwards from the customer, from design through planning to execution. Also work with teams across Amazon on cross-team initiatives.
• Planning and coordinating feature improvements and upgrades.
• Analyzing and improving availability, efficiency, capacity, scalability, security and performance of our services.
• Developing and maintaining key components that are instrumental in ensuring functional design accuracy of our modem chips
Export Control Requirement:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
• 2 years relevant work experience.
• Solid knowledge of performant python programming with a focus on resuability and scalability
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and industry best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Knowledge of Agile development life cycles
• Ability and willingness to go above and beyond one’s comfort zone when it comes to about other services to help integrate and improve them.
Enhanced drive to learn new technologies and systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Knowledge of communication hardware operation
Knowledge of firmware concepts, development and debug
Familiarity with silicon debug
• Excellent customer service, communication, documentation, work prioritization and analytical skills.
• Passion to invent and create new solutions, challenge the status quo and drive positive change.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
